And So It Begins

So, I’m off to China. For a year.

Thanks to the lovely thing that is the Chinese Firewall, I won’t always have access to Facebook. Meaning, I will not always be able to post updates and photos in the way to which I am accustomed. Thus, the blog.

By creating this blog, I am proving that I am a hypocrite three times over.

                1. I always swore that I’d never be a teacher.

                2. I always said I never wanted to travel.

                3. I have never understood people’s fascination with blogs, and I swore I’d never have one.

Now, I am going to be a blogging teacher in China. Funny, no?

I leave early Wednesday morning. I am flying from Salt Lake to L.A. Then to Seoul, South Korea, and then finally to Chengdu, China.
