School Celebration

To celebrate the Chinese National Holiday, my school put on a massive performance. Each class had the responsibility to put together a show for the entire school.

The tenth graders sang an English song called "Lemon Tree." I'd never heard of it before, but apparently it is wildly popular here in China.

The eleventh graders put on a skit about what they all want to be when they grow up, and then they broke out into song. They learned all of the choreography to High School Musical's "We're All in this Together."

Although over 90% of the audience had no idea what they were saying in the songs, it was still fun to watch the younger students get excited watching the older students perform.

All of the other performances by the lower grades were very traditional. Students were everywhere walking around in traditional Chinese clothing.
